On Saturday, August 16th, 2025, family, friends, and loved ones will gather at St. James Anglican Church in Layou to celebrate the remarkable life of Amelia Ivy McDowall. Born on November 1st, 1925, and passing peacefully on July 24th, 2025, Amelia lived for nearly a century — a life marked by grace, resilience, and love.
The Service of Thanksgiving will begin with a viewing at 12 noon, followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. Her final resting place will be at the Church Yard Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest in the embrace of her community and faith. The service will be officiated by The Ven. Junior E. Ballantyne and Rev. Milton Thomas.
