Blue Chip Basketball Academy is tipping off a fresh season for the next generation of hoopers with Little Dribblers, a play-based training program designed to build skills, confidence, and teamwork from the ground up. The program begins September 8, 2025, at the GHS Hardcourt, running Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15–4:30 p.m.
With the motto splashed across the flyer—“Practice While Play”—Little Dribblers keeps the drills lively and the lessons practical. Think games that teach balance, coordination, and footwork; contests that sharpen dribbling, passing, and layups; and mini-scrimmages that nudge kids to communicate, defend, and make smart decisions under pressure. It’s the sweet spot where fun meets fundamentals—because if the ball isn’t bouncing, the learning isn’t landing.
The academy is welcoming two age groups:
- Primary (6–10 years) — perfect for brand-new ballers and kids learning the basics.
- Secondary (11–14 years) — ideal for young athletes ready to level up technique, court IQ, and conditioning.
Beyond skill work, Little Dribblers emphasizes classic values that never go out of style: discipline, respect, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The structure is simple, the expectations are clear, and the goals are solid—show up, work hard, have fun, and get better week by week.
Why it matters
- Healthy routine after school: A consistent, supervised outlet that burns energy and builds habits.
- Confidence that carries: Kids learn to handle the ball—and pressure—one rep at a time.
- Community on and off the court: Friendships form fast when you’re sharing the ball and the wins.
